TD Bank Group donates $500,000 to UQAM for the pavillon de l’Entrepreneuriat et de l’innovation

November 1, 2022 – TD Bank has confirmed its donation of half a million dollars to UQAM’s business school, the École des sciences de la gestion (ESG UQAM). This donation will provide state-of-the-art equipment for the new pavillon de l’Entrepreneuriat et de l’innovation, currently under construction. Its new co-modal classrooms will expand access to ESG UQAM’s graduate programs.

“ESG UQAM is one of the largest French-speaking management schools in the world training 20% ​​of all management students in Quebec. Thanks to our loyal partner, TD Bank, the next generation will benefit from innovative study and research spaces, based on interactivity and connectivity, capable of bringing out the creativity tomorrow’s entrepreneurs », rejoices Rector Magda Fusaro.

« This new pavilion will train the responsible, influential players of tomorrow », adds Komlan Sedzro, Dean of ESG UQAM. “The construction of these technological classrooms will provide ESG UQAM students with a stimulating, innovative, learning environment.”

The pavillon de l’Entrepreneuriat et de l’innovation, which will bring together ESG UQAM’s expertise in research and entrepreneurship, will be an incubator for innovative solutions geared towards experimentation. Located on Sanguinet Street in the heart of the Latin Quarter, in a LEED-certified century-old building, it will host courses for the Master’s in Business Administration in order to promote knowledge sharing. « TD’s support for this flagship project of the 100 million Ideas campaign will allow ESG UQAM to assume a more prominent role in Quebec’s business world, in addition to promoting accessibility to learning, one of the fundamental values of UQAM”, added Michelle Niceforo, Executive Director of the UQAM Foundation.
