The Galerie de l’UQAM is presenting a solo show by Shary Boyle, winner of the 2010 Hnatyshyn Award and one of the most fascinating artists of the current Canadian scene. The exhibition includes some thirty works produced since 2006 in disciplines as diverse as sculpture, porcelain, oil painting, drawing and installation. The show includes miniatures and large-format works, portraits and genre scenes, most of them displayed for the first time. Shary Boyle: Flesh and Blood was initially presented at the Art Gallery of Ontario this past fall to mark the artist’s Gershon Iskowitz Prize win. A bilingual publication will accompany the project.
